MFLL operates primarily through the work of volunteers who donate their time and effort to provide the best possible program for the players.
MFLL uses SignUp.com to post volunteer opportunities for families. Click the logo on any MFLL page to be directed to the site where you can sign up for volunteer positions. MFLL will use SignUp.com to record hours volunteered.
At registration, all families will be charged a $125 Volunteer Fee - when you complete your League Volunteer duties of 4 hours for the season, this fee will be refunded to you. Failure to meet your MFLL volunteer hour obligation results in forfeiting your $125 Volunteer Fee.

What is my family obligation?- ALL Families must complete a MINIMUM of 4 hours of volunteer time.
- NO Concessions shifts are needed!
- Coaches & Team Parents are not required to do any additional hours!
Volunteers are required to check in with a designated MFLL board member or Park Police (at the MFLL complex). Failure to check in for your shift will result in no credit for volunteer time provided.
Any hours completed beyond the minimum are very much appreciated, since the League is run only by volunteers.
Failure to show up for any shift or failure to give a 24-hour notice may result in adding 1 hour to the family minimum volunteer hours.
If you or someone in your family is a coach, manager, team parent or board member, your family’s LEAGUE-RELATED volunteer hours have been satisfied for the season. However, we ask that you still participate in TEAM-RELATED activities.
If I'm coaching, do I still pay the Fee at Registration?
Yes, every family is charged the fee at registration no matter if they register to coach or not. When will I get the Volunteer Fee Refund?
Refunds will be issued three times during the season: June 15th, August 15th and November 15th. If you are a coach, you will receive your refund with the first batch. If you are a Team Parent, you will receive your refund with the second batch.

** MFLL Special Events are set up on SignUp.com as they are scheduled. These include preseason events like Uniform & Equipment Sorting and Pick Up days, Picture Day helpers, Player Packet creation, etc. During season events like Mid-Season Celebration, Merchandise Sales and postseason events like Uniform & Equipment returns, Complex Winter Prep, hosting tournaments.
